10 Weirdest Wrestler Cameos In Movies

8. Kevin Nash - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze

Chris Jericho Jay And Silent Bob Reboot
New Line Cinema

Yeah, okay, so we could have gone for Kevin Nash’s pair of appearances in the Steven Soderbergh-created Magic Mike series for this entry, since no one expected the former Hulk Hogan collaborator to work with the man who brought us Sex, Lies, and Videotapes (to say nothing of Hogan’s later life…).

But the fact is Kevin Nash’s quiet, affecting turn as Tarzan amounts to more than a bizarre cameo in both flicks, and he deserves kudos for baring all at the advanced age of fifty-five(!). No, the classic Kevin Nash role which screams “Weirdest Wrestler Cameos” is be his faceless, wordless appearance as Super Shredder in the first sequel to 1990’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the next year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.

Late in the family flick, Francois Chau’s villainous Shredder discovers the titular secret of the ooze—namely, that it transforms those who consume it, thus creating the eponymous heroes in a half-shell. He drinks the ooze and grows into Super Shredder. But before Nash can actually do much of anything in the role, he’s crushed by… er, a pier he tore down whilst standing inside it.

It’s a waste of the theatrical performer’s talents, and leaves the viewer wondering why he bothered with such an inconsequential role.
