A match between Randy Orton and John Cena isn't usually much to shout about - there have been hundreds of them over the years - but everything changes when you put the letters "Sr." on the end of one of their names.

In the midst of his 2007 feud with Cena over the WWE Championship, The Viper made things personal by targeting Big Match John's dear old dad. John Cena Sr. - say that five times fast - had been a ring announcer back in the day, but hadn't actually competed in a match until he took on his son's nemesis on the September 17th edition of the red show.

With junior handcuffed to the ropes, Orton beat the stuffing out of Mr. Cena for two minutes until Cody Rhodes of all people made the save. Cena was able to get himself free and tend to his father, but not before he'd taken an RKO for his troubles.

Mr. Cena Sr. would have a handful of matches on the indie circuit following his TV debut, including one against AEW's Mark Sterling in 2023. He won as well.
