10 Weirdest WWE Royal Rumble Entrants Ever

7. The Boogeyman (2015)

The Boogeyman was one of those gimmicks that never should have worked as well as it did. To WWE's credit, he was utilized perfectly in the four years he was around for in that he was never seriously pushed toward title contention but was always entertaining. His commitment to the character was a plus.

Although he was released from his contract in March 2009, Boogeyman has resurfaced several times on WWE TV and in various videos on WWE.com since then, most notably in the 2015 Royal Rumble match.

Bray Wyatt entered at number five and started clearing the ring of everyone in sight. This included Boogeyman, who attempted to put a stop to Wyatt's rampage by countering his creepiness with some weirdness of his own. Ultimately, his efforts were unsuccessful, as he was eliminated by Wyatt before he had a chance to offer him a handful of his signature worms.

In a bizarre way, seeing two of WWE's scariest characters interact was kind of cool. It was almost disappointing that their interaction was over so quickly, but to WWE, Boogeyman was just another man to add to Wyatt's elimination count and nothing more.
