10 Weirdest WWE Tryout Stories
4. Luke Gallows' Comedy Of Errors

Luke Gallows has had an on-and-off run with WWE since his first signing in 2005. He's been the Imposter Kane, Festus, the Straight Edge Society disciple, and as part of the O.C. with Karl Anderson. Apart from a few notable matches and two tag team title reigns, WWE wasn't always easy for Gallows. Talking about his time in the company, Gallows reminisced about his disastrous tryout for the fourth season of WWE Tough Enough in 2004.
Gallows revealed he had several humiliating moments during the tryout. He first stepped inside the ring to run the ropes, but the catch was there were no ropes in the ring, and he ended up falling head-first onto the ground in front of John Laurinaitis. Next up was the obstacle course, and even this turned into a humiliating endeavor after he fell while climbing the wall. While he thought the worst was over, he was not ready for what would hit him next.
After the wall, it was time to do the army crawl, and the untied drawstring in his shorts came back to haunt him in the worst way possible. As he continued to crawl under the netting, his shorts went down with each crawl. He had to do 25 push-ups once he finished the crawl, and by the time he reached the other side, he didn't have his shorts on - but proceeded to do the push-ups anyway.
Long story short, he didn't make it into the final ten in the contest, but ended up getting a developmental contract in 2005.
