10 Wild Outside Bets To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2020

8. Cesaro

Can you imagine the reaction online, were Cesaro to win the Royal Rumble match?

Every single r/SquaredCircle poster would resemble Randy Marsh, splattered in ectoplasm, in a state of euphoria at the Swiss domination pornography. WWE would convince a number of fans that all isn't lost with just one audacious dose of fan service, for Cesaro is the shortcut to their cynical, jaded hearts. On that basis, this is a wild outside bet, but one you'd put money on.

WWE is showing tentative signs of growth, in that A) weddings equal ratings and RAW almost feels like it is planned and B) the relentlessly average SmackDown has stabilised with a not unimpressive rating. But the company still has that "I'm pretty sure they hate us" stink to it, and with a Cesaro win, Vince McMahon would virtually send bouquets of flowers to his 'Universe'.

The thing is is that Cesaro is more Internet Over than Arena Over, seems as directionless as ever, and simply is not perceived as a main event player internally.

Cesaro could win the Rumble, I guess. There's always the fact that a Fiend match only ever gets over when an actual magician is on the other side of the ring to persuade management.
