10 Wild Outside Bets To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2023
7. Roxanne Perez
The WWE women's division isn't in a state of crisis, or anything quite so drastic, but it peaked a long time back and it is badly lacking in star power.
Ronda Rousey is cooked. Bianca Belair is a better PLE performer - a fantastic one, in fact - than a truly captivating episodic TV star. Becky Lynch has returned to form, but it's more a case of her being better than in 2021 than as hot as she was in 2018. Bayley is woefully miscast. Charlotte Flair is already back winning titles immediately, under inexplicable circumstances, as the babyface only WWE insists that she is. Virtually every returning NXT starlet just sort of exists already.
The following scenario is highly unlikely to play out - WWE remains intent on ordering young wrestlers to spend years in the developmental system despite its Pedro Morales stan core audience - but it may well be needed.
The likeable, plucky and skilled Roxanne Perez is the best young talent in the company and possesses a magnetism that will help her, since Triple H's preferred booking method - "Here's somebody with minimal context, now pop!" - isn't doing much for the majority of the roster.
