10 Wild Outside Bets To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2024

3. Jade Cargill

Brock Lesnar Royal Rumble
WWE

You might have read some Rumble fantasy booking that while intriguing wouldn't work in practice.

For example, there's the idea of a heel walking into an empty ring from the #30 slot and winning by default. It's a cute idea, for someone like the Miz or a less bad chicken-sh*t heel who hasn't been around longer than zircon crystals - but it's hardly the sort of idea that sparks WrestleMania season into life.

There's also the idea of a debuting star winning the Royal Rumble in their first ever match. It's bold, but where would they go from there?

Jade Cargill is a territory wrestler in a post-territory world - a bombastic if limited performer with a one-dimensional style bathed in unteachable star power - and she was savvy enough to make the jump knowing that she can start afresh and disassociate fans from the memories of bland, repetitive squashes.

A great businesswoman, her style doesn't lend itself to a long-term arc - much like a Sid or Goldberg, she's hardly in a position to reinvent herself as a master of the craft - so why not extract the maximum value early and have her win the Rumble on day one?
