4. Edge vs. Mick Foley At WrestleMania 22 (Hardcore Match)
As mentioned in the opening, Edge and Mick Foley are the two guys that really have the wildest matches in WWE history. It almost feels like I should apologize for not including more of their matches. It's a tribute to them for putting their bodies on the line to entertain us. There were so many crazy things in this one. The barbed wire around the waist of Foley at the start of the match was a really innovative idea. That bloody arm that Edge had was pretty gross mainly because we're not used to seeing that much blood on a guy's arm. The spots in this match were fantastic including the Cactus clothesline while Lita was on Mick's back. It was insane for her to try that. Of course they had to bust out the thumbtacks too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeuVmDKQQWk What most people remember is the finish when they really went over the top to elevate this match on a whole other level. Lita hit Foley in the knee with a barb wire baseball bat and she lit the table on fire after lighter fluid was sprayed on it. Edge hit the Spear through the ropes and he went crashing through the table with Foley. That flaming table spot is one of the most memorable endings to any match ever. It was masterfully done and it's a good thing that they were safe about it.
