10 Winners And Losers From WWE Fastlane 2018
5. Winners: The Bludgeon Brothers
The Bludgeon Brothers unleashed a fury on The Usos and The New Day Sunday night unlike any the SmackDown tag team division has ever seen. Harper and Rowan obliterated and victimized the top two tag teams on the blue brand with reckless abandon, utilizing a merciless assault that left Jimmy and Jey Uso, Big E, Kofi Kingston and especially Xavier Woods in need of medical attention.
It was the first hint of the plans that await the three teams come WrestleMania and an announcement to the world that The Bludgeon Brothers are a very real, very dangerous threat to any all teams in front of them. They are not the cartoon act straight out of 1993 that some have seen fit to compare them to.
No, they are an unstoppable force that is willing to cripple and maim their way to championship gold if necessary.
Sunday night, WWE Creative took the steps necessary to shed the preconceived notions about the types of characters Harper and Rowan are and present them in a way that screams legitimacy. It will be interesting to see if management can maintain that intensity and focus in regards to their booking or if they become another monstrous duo that loses when the lights are brightest.
