I'll start with the first ever WCPW Women's Champion, my fellow Welshie Nixon Newell. Newell has had something of a breakout year in 2016, and at the risk of speaking in clichés the future could not be brighter for the youngster. Trained by Mike Bird and Wild Boar, if you don't look at Nixon Newell and see super mega babyface wrestling star then you're not looking at Nixon Newell.

Asuka is going to turn heel eventually, right? I mean, where is the fun in a babyface that is unbeatable, a babyface who is better than the rest without breaking a sweat? Asuka needs to turn heel and allow the building of a heroic babyface challenger.

Sure, it would be a shame for the British wrestling scene to lose Newell, but she is undoubtedly perfect for the part. Remarkably smooth for someone of her experience, it's difficult to argue with her claim to being the girl with the shiniest wizard. Also, sweet Pete Dunne impression...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
