10 Worst Babyfaces In WWE History
9. The Miz
There may be no more miserably executed babyface turn this decade than that of The Miz in 2012.
That would be because Miz's turn lacked that definitive moment that announced to even the densest of fans that he was now a hero. He worked against heels and in Vince McMahon's warped sense of storytelling, that made him a good guy. To the audience, though, he was essentially the same entitled reality TV star with a childish sense of humor and Titanic-sized ego.
He never evolved into anything more than he had been while one of the most hated superstars on the roster and as a result, failed to resonate with audiences.
No matter how many, many times he battled Wade Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship or found himself on the receiving end of a beatdown by the villainous stars of WWE, it proved nearly impossible to drum up sympathy for a character whose petulance was such a staple of his persona.
In the fall of 2013, Miz endured a brutal assault at the hands of The Authority's chosen champion Randy Orton, who beat the ever-living hell out of the Hollywood A-lister in front of his parents in his hometown of Cleveland.
When that still did not generate much in the way of crowd support, he was turned heel as if the nightmare of ill-fated heroism never happened.
All parties involved were much better off for it.
