10 Worst Babyfaces In WWE History
4. Vince McMahon
Not even a brash, cocky Triple H at the height of his most evil could convince fans to fully support a babyface Vince McMahon.
The Game did everything from physically assaulting Vince's son Shane to marrying daughter Stephanie in the most convoluted, despicable manner possible but there was something about the egotistical billionaire that made it difficult for fans to feel bad for him.
Even when he was betrayed by his baby girl, his heart broken and ego shattered, McMahon was hardly the type of hero fans wanted to invest in. Who could blame them? He spent well over one full year telling fans what they wanted. He made life a living hell for rebellious antihero 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, lovable underdog Mick Foley and charismatic "People's Champion" The Rock.
Why would the audience, which so passionately adored those characters, blindly throw their support behind the man who mistreated them and added to their allure?
By the time babyface McMahon won the WWE Championship from Triple H thanks to interference from Austin, any chance he had of garnering sympathy had evaporated. How could fans find it within themselves to throw their unwavering support behind a once-evil promoter who had just booked himself to win the company's top prize?
Wholly unlikable, even as his family is falling apart, McMahon ultimately returned from a television hiatus in 2000 and turned on The Rock, reassuming his role as wrestling's greatest antagonist.
