2. The Three Stooges

The Three Stooges were popular in the 1940s, a time when physical violence was the pinnacle of comedy. Decades after the original stooges all passed away, the series was brought back into theaters in 2012 starring one of the guys from Will and Grace, Will Sasso, who lost to Bret Hart in WCW, and uh… some other guy.

It was not a very good film, with a target audience that was definitely not the same one as Monday Night Raw’s. But Vince probably loved the show when he was a kid, and probably wondered what those Stooges were all up to, so he invited them on his show. His fans did not take kindly to this idea. Santino let the new Larry, Moe and Curly out of a giant box, and wasn’t confused at all how they were still alive, and just accepted these new Stooges as real-life people. They all proceeded to spend two unfunny minutes hitting each other in the head with cartoon noises accompanying each collision.

It got even worse when they went out in front of a live crowd. Everyone absolutely hated them. Sasso did a Hogan impression, and while it sounded pretty decent, it of course bombed. Everything they did was embarrassingly awful, and the crowd all went home a little sadder. For obvious reasons, they have never been invited back.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
