10 Worst Decisions We Have Made As The Authority Of WWE
1. Maimed Becky Lynch
We're new at this, OK? This sh*t is harder than it looks.
We're not a multi-billion dollar sports entertainment empire. We can't draw on years and years of the expertise that has seen WWE monopolise the industry to promote effective wrestling characters that do not in any way undermine their core appeal. Besides, during the handover process, Vince McMahon personally told us, and it was on the record so we can quote this, "The WWE Universe is populated by moronic gnats, quite frankly."
We don't really know what we're doing. But we're trying.
We know babyfaces are meant to be sympathetic, and so we have decided to take a broad route. The broadest route. We play to a broad audience that enjoys visual cues, so we have handed Becky Lynch a crutch with which to walk. We changed our minds at one point, and cleared her for action, but then we just had Charlotte re-injure her leg. That way, when Becky Lynch beats Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey with one leg, we absolutely will not invite any SuperBecky memes, because we don't know what memes are, nor the instant, destructive power a well-observed one holds.
That Charlotte, thing, too. We are breaking the whole "Give the audience what they want" thing here, but try to see it our way.
By adding two women into the major Ronda match, we now have two women to sacrifice to Lacey Evans for that 2018 Carmella push!
