10 Worst Ever NXT TakeOver Matches

5. Baron Corbin Vs Bull Dempsey (Rival)

A 'No Disqualification' match should have added some much-needed excitement to the tepid Bull Dempsey/Baron Corbin programme but the contest passed without even employing the stipulation.

The story between the pair had actually been quite satisfying early on, with both squashing jobbers with such ferocity on the weekly TV show that they became natural rivals.

This payoff should have allowed both to let loose with plunder not regularly employed in NXT, but instead the two engaged in a listless brawl around the outside of the ring with a host of unconvincing strikes that looked ludicrous without the multiple referees to pull them apart.

The Full Sail fans turned on the match after a botched Cactus clothesline from Corbin saw him tumble to the floor but force Dempsey to comedically throw himself over.

Baron kicking out of a Dempsey diving headbutt drew near-silence despite Bull's gesticulations, but fans voiced their displeasure at a lousy finish when an attempted chair attack was immediately countered with a weak End of Days for the win.

It was a lame conclusion to a confusingly punctuated clash, and having already used Corbin to end Dempsey's undefeated streak a month earlier, the booking put a bullet in all the time and effort spent to make him look like a killer.
