10 Worst Feuds Of John Cena's WWE Career

2. vs. The Miz In 2011

WWE was really impressed by The Miz' heel work in 2010 and 2011, so they had him win Money in the Bank in 2011, which led to a WWE Title win later that year. Even though John Cena didn't win the 2011 Royal Rumble, it was pretty obvious that WWE was building to a WrestleMania 27 match between them. Here's the problem. Instead of making the feud about Cena challenging The Miz, The Rock was involved as the host of WrestleMania and he was the one doing memorable promos with Cena while Miz was basically laughed at despite being the WWE Champion. The Miz/Cena main event match was below average. Most people don't remember it, but it went 20 minutes and was really boring. They did a spot where both guys were counted out, then Rock restarted it, hit Cena with a Rock Bottom and The Miz retained. Cena had an "I Quit" match with The Miz at Over The Limit 2011 where Alex Riley interfered the entire match. It was basically a handicap match that Cena won after 25 boring minutes. Not good times for WWE. No WWE Champion has been booked like more of an afterthought than The Miz during his feud with Cena.
