10 Worst Matches In WWE's 100 Matches To See Before You Die
9. Natalya Vs. Charlotte - NXT TakeOver 2014
With the constant televised championship losses and pay-per-view wins, it is easy to overlook the fact that Charlotte Flair has grown into being one of the most consistent wrestlers on the entire WWE roster. Of all the current women on the main roster, it is Charlotte who brings the most apparent big match feel to her bouts, and for all the Sasha/Becky/Bayley love, all three need Flair to anchor them.
It was this match, against Natalya for the then-vacant NXT Women's Championship, that put Charlotte on the map. It was her coming out party of sorts, her first major performance against an experienced opponent on just the second NXT special. The second generation stars certainly delivered too, a great match ending with Charlotte victorious and a Flair holding gold once again.
The problem lies in that for certain big name performers their first very good match tends to get overblown by history. Charlotte and Natalya put on a very good match at NXT TakeOver, but in truth, it wasn't even the best match of the night. Tyler Breeze and Sami Zayn stole the show, but it is Breeze's current position that means that match doesn't make the list.
It could also be argued that the match between Paige and Emma to determine the first ever NXT Women's Champion is more deserving, but that is for another day. Natalya vs. Charlotte was a very good match - but not quite on par with many of the better women's matches of the modern era.
