10 Worst Matches In WWE Money In The Bank History
4. Adam Rose Vs. Damien Sandow (2014)
During an earlier entry, I opined that Goldust and Stardust vs. RybAxel felt like a match more fitting for Raw or SmackDown. By contrast, Adam Rose vs. Damien Sandow had the aura of something more at home on Main Event or Superstars, rather than the 2014 iteration of Money In The Bank.
Looking for cheap heat, Sandow was dressed as Boston native Paul Revere and insulted fans by claiming the city would always be in the shadow of New York. Looking for the cheap pop, Rose said Boston was party central. That was as loud as the crowd would get during this one.
Without ragging on the actual performers too much, they were put in a crappy position by officials. Handed just over 5 minutes of match time, Sandow and Rose couldn't really tell much of a story. The fact Sandow was dressed as a historical figure only made the whole thing come across as comedic.
Rose picked up the win, this falling during somewhat of a mini-push for his cult-like character, but the match was nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, it's the third bout from the same pay-per-view to make this list.
