10 Worst Moments From WWE In Saudi Arabia (So Far)
3. DX vs The Brothers of Destruction
After an incredible career spanning decades, championships, and countless memories, Shawn Michaels hung up his boots after he lost a Career vs Streak match to The Undertaker. It was an emotional moment - a farewell to one of the great wrestling icons - which is why it's such a shame they screwed it all up eight years later.
Yes, the only wrestler who actually kept to the stipulation of his retirement match was dragged back into the ring to team with Triple H against The Undertaker and Kane. The match was a travesty, as the four legends battled Father Time as much as each other (the youngest person in it was 49-year-old Triple H). It "won" the Wrestling Observer Newsletter award for "Worst Worked Match" and Triple H suffered a legit torn pectoral muscle to add injury to this insult.
A bad match between four old people is one thing, but the reason this match really stinks is Michaels. The Showstopper had kept his word for so long when so many others went back on their retirements. To see him abandon his principles for nothing more than a payday for a terrible match was, quite appropriately, heart-breaking.
