10 Worst Movies Starring Wrestlers (That You Probably Haven't Seen)

7. Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Sycho Sid - River Of Darkness (2011)

Bagwell Day of the Warrior
G2 Pictures

This film is like a holy trinity of washed up wrestlers. Not only does Kurt Angle appear (having apparently not learned his lesson from featuring in End Game), but both Kevin Nash AND Sid Eudy show up too – although they at least had the sense to bury themselves under mounds of terrible looking prosthetics.

It's hard to find the words to describe this film. Amateur is probably a bit too generous. Cheap-looking is an extraordinary understatement - although it did inexplicably cost $3 million to produce.

It is supposed to be a horror film, but the problem is that it's an ambitious horror film, without any actual talent driving it. When you have a small budget and no real actors, you should never try to replicate the effects and makeup tricks of films produced by actual filmmakers. You should do something minimalist to hide your limitations.

Instead, this film broadcasts its flaws loudly and proudly, and the results are truly horrifying for all the wrong reasons. I would actually recommend watching this one if you can seek it out because it really does have to be seen to be believed.
