Emma might be relatively new to the main WWE roster but it's clear that her strange dancing gimmick not only failed to hit its mark but it might be one of the most painful to watch crash-and-burns of any of the musical/dancing gimmicks in recent times. While her goofy awkward-dancing character seemed perfect for her in NXT, the transition from WWE's glorified indy fed to the main roster just didn't translate well. Part of this can be attributed to her instant romantic pairing with Santino Marella that put her in forced attempts at comedy and minimized her considerable wrestling skill. With Emma recently almost losing her job due to an embarrassing arrest for shoplifting and Santino's unexpected retirement Emma is now forced to go on her own. This actually might be the best thing for her as she might have a chance to tweak her character and save what has been, so far, a disastrous call-up.
