10 Worst PPV Endings In WWE History

2. Hulk Hogan Vs Sid Justice - WrestleMania 8

This is unquestionably the worst-executed of all the PPV endings on this list, but even had it gone off without a hitch, it would still have resulted in an unforgivable booking decision: a DQ finish in the main event of WrestleMania. In order to protect Sid, the biggest heel in the company, Hogan was booked to hit the legdrop and cover his opponent...only to be attacked by the interfering Papa Shango. This sounds a horrendous enough finish even at the best of times, but the actual turn of events was even worse. Shango utterly missed his cue to run-in, arriving far too late to prevent the pinfall from occurring. Sid was therefore forced to kick out of Hogan's legdrop (the first person to do this in WWF history) and the ref called off the match for no reason at all. Shango eventually hit the ring and attacked, but the heels were quickly ran off by the returning Ultimate Warrior - although in reality it was actually Hogan who did most of the fighting. The two mega-faces celebrated in the ring afterwards for an utterly underwhelmed audience, a sight made all the more ridiculous as sparks sprayed up from all four sides of the apron. The whole thing was an utter shambles and reduced the credibility of Shango and Hogan, the former left looking an ineffectual and hapless henchman, the latter a lucky escapee from the unbeatable Sid.
