10 Worst PPV Endings In WWE History

4. The Miz Vs John Cena - WrestleMania 27

Immediately noticeable is the fact that nothing about this match screams "WrestleMania main event". If anything, it seems the the headline match of a filler PPV sometime between SummerSlam and the Royal Rumble. This match did top the bill at the biggest show of the year however, and thoroughly disappointed everybody in the process. In fairness to The Miz, he showed great dedication and charisma during his push to the top of the card. The problem wasn't with his performance, or indeed that of Cena's. It was the decision of the WWE to reduce WrestleMania 27 to a mere preview of WrestleMania 28. Cena clotheslined The Miz over the crowd barrier quarter of an hour into the match, resulting in a double countout to the fury of the crowd. Luckily the Rock - billed as the "host" of WrestleMania - came out to restart the contest, but things weren't about to improve. Cena immediately went for the AA, only for Rocky to blindside the challenger with a Rock Bottom. Miz made the easy pinfall, and the crowd were left to deal with one of the cheapest endings in Pay Per View history. Imagine paying through the nose for a ticket to 'Mania, only to find out that the main event is nothing more than a glorified stepping stone for Rock vs Cena the following year. The "winner" of the match received no benefit either, slipping back into the sludgy midcard shortly after. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIerzJeMq6U
