One of Nash's former WCW alumni would suffer a worse fate upon his arrival in the WWF of 2001. Keen to work under the WWF banner, Diamond Dallas Page agreed to a buyout of his contract with AOL/Time Warner, effectively throwing away millions of dollars in the process. That loyalty was not rewarded by the McMahon family.

Page becoming a pawn in the ongoing Invasion storyline would have been bad enough, but the company had something else in mind for him. For weeks, a mysterious creep was shown secretly filming The Undertaker's wife Sara, and the perp was later revealed as DDP himself.

Encouraging 'Taker to make him famous, presumably by decimating him, Page called out his rival at the King Of The Ring pay-per-view. Undertaker then proceeded to bump the incoming star around, making him look more like enhancement talent than a main event level performer.

It was a terrible idea to have Page fill the stalker role, he instantly became less of a star because of association with the angle. It was also a rotten way to kick off a feud between top WWF and WCW names.
