In his well-received autobiography, Bret Hart said that he enjoyed working with guys like Jean-Pierre LaFitte. Smack bang in the middle of the 'New Generation Era', Bret and his pirate foe had a series of matches in 1995. Most notably, they faced off at In Your House 3.

The match wasn't a random one, there was some issue behind it. Unfortunately, the reason why it happened was sorely lacking in excitement, LaFitte simply revealed himself to be quite the thief. Firstly, he'd steal Hart's trademark pink shades from fans around ringside. Going further, he decided to nab Bret's famous ring jacket, something which caused Hart to challenge him.

The pair worked well together, it's not hard to see why Bret liked being in the ring with LaFitte. Sadly, they could have had a five-star classic and t wouldn't have mattered due to the lame reasoning for their feud to begin with.

In 1995, the WWF was hardly on fire, but this was a nadir for the promotion. One of their biggest stars, Bret Hart was feuding over a stolen jacket? Hardly thrilling stuff.
