10 Worst T-Shirts In WWE History
7. Kayfabe Tees
Everybody knows that wrestling is a work, so why not try to capitalize on it? Well, a few reasons. First of all, wrestling fans don't like to be reminded non-stop that the competition isn't legitimate - it's annoying when non-fans do it, and it's especially annoying when wrestling does it. Secondly, WWE has a pretty horrible history of capitalizing on things that aren't just straight, non-ironic wrestling.
That didn't stop them from trying, though. In early 2012, WWE released a line of "kayfabe" tees - t-shirts with "insider" terminology on them. Some stuff was kind of benign, like "HEEL" or even "JOBBER," but they got downright obnoxious with others, like "WHAT'S YOUR FINISH?", "I GOT HEAT", or the pictured "I'M SO OVER." Reportedly, these shirts rubbed several wrestlers the wrong way and WWE pulled them.
Even if they had been widely available, though, it's not likely that too many people would have wanted to spend $20 on a black t-shirt with a stupid slogan written on it in plain white text.
