10 Worst Things About The Dean Ambrose/Roman Reigns Alliance
2. Dean Ambrose Is Carrying The Entertainment Portion Of This Pairing
The Shield was great because it hid weaknesses and developed strengths in each of its members. A weakness of Dean Ambrose for the purposes of WWE that actually makes him a great babyface is that he treats so much of the character side of pro wrestling like some sort of off-kilter indie movie. Comparatively, every other member of the WWE Universe acts like they're starring in Terminator. Of course, insofar as WWE's scripts, the babyface lead role in Terminator-as-WWE is currently played by Roman Reigns. Dean Ambrose as wacky indie actor as compared to B-grade Terminator Reigns is sadly a no contest, and thus Roman Reigns is a lead dog awkwardly playing second fiddle. At some point in Roman Reigns' WWE career, he will be a lead dog. That time isn't now. To have him shown up as a TV performer (not wrestler, there is a difference) in "entertainment" obsessed WWE on a weekly basis by the uniquely charismatic Dean Ambrose doesn't help as much as it absolutely hurts.
