Let's be very clear about something: Even if you are not a fan of the guy personally, there is nobody that can argue that 'The Game' wasn't one of the best of all time in 2000. During that year, Triple H had realised the potential he had hinted at for so long and he became a bona fide ring general capable of generating waves of heat. He was putting on all-time great matches at least once a month and became the centerpiece of some of the hottest angles the company had ever known. Eventually, his incredible in-ring journey would lead to forming a heel team with Steve Austin known as the Two-Man Power Trip, going against the team of Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit on RAW. In that match, Triple H would tear his quad trying to enter the ring to break up a pin. Just like that, the guy who had managed to turn himself into one of the best that pro wrestling had seen in years was out of the game. Not only would this injury cause Triple H to miss the Invasion angle - depriving the WWF of yet another important player in that feud - but in many ways Triple H would never come back quite the same. Triple H would still go on to put on some incredible matches in his career, but the injury and time away forced him to change his style and lose a step or two in the ring.
