10 Worst Timed Injuries In Wrestling History

1. Magnum TA's Car Crash Deprives Wrestling Of The Next Big Thing

Anyone who worked with Magnum TA spoke about him as pro wrestling's next big thing. He had absolutely everything that you might look for in a major professional wrestling star and was coming up in an era where his own brand of blue-collar bad ass perfectly clashed with the NWA that Ric Flair's pretty boy champion style had created. The NWA had spent years grooming him into a revolutionary star. And then on a rainy October night in 1984, Magnum TA crashed his Porsche into a telephone pole. Many doubted that he would ever walk again and everybody knew that his wrestling career was over. Every wrestling injury is unfortunate, but none that didn't involve the death of a performer was more tragic than this one. Whether or not you believe that Magnum TA could have reached the heights that those within the organization felt he was capable of, there is no denying that he had met each and every one of the considerable expectations that had been presented to him at that point. At the very least, the Magnum TA/Ric Flair bout that had been hyped for years was sure to have been something truly special. No performer has ever had to end their career with more unfulfilled possibilities in front of them than Magnum TA.
