10 Worst TNA Angles Ever

2. Janice

Foreign objects are all part of the fun of wrestling - within reason. Nobody disputes the benefit of an occasional chairshot or demolished table, but - yet again - TNA took things to unnecessary extremes with the introduction of "Janice". The signature weapon of monster heel Abyss, Janice was a huge wooden board peppered with rusty nails. It looked legitimately terrifying, but also ruined the audience's suspension of disbelief in the same way a knife or gun would. Such things simply aren't used in the wrestling world. Janice was used as an excuse to write RVD off television. During a multi-man brawl, Abyss dragged Van Dam backstage. When the cameras caught up to the scene later on, the monster was nowhere to be found - but RVD looked like a horror movie victim. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRl62AFFO5w TNA claimed Van Dam suffered from punctured organs, head and spinal trauma, and required 115 stitches, a diagnosis rendered utterly ridiculous by his typically aloof return a few months later.
