10 Worst TNA Angles Ever

1. Hulk Hogan's Hall Of Fame Ring

Poor old Abyss. One of TNA's most loyal, long-serving workers has consistently been rewarded with some of the worst angles in wrestling history. The most outrageous - and an often-cited example of a wrestling promotion insulting their fans' intelligence - surely must be the debacle involving Hulk Hogan's hall of fame ring. Abyss, now portraying an unconfident, bumbling babyface, was given Hogan's WWE ring (which couldn't be referred to by name, of course) and told it contained magical powers. Upon wearing the Hulkster's ring, Abyss suddenly gained greater strength and was able to easily dominate his foes. The storyline was criticised mercilessly by wrestling critics and casual fans alike, and was exactly as ridiculous as it sounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnZcOVA6Sb0 Defenders of the angle claim that Hogan's ring was never implied to actually contain superpowers, but merely gave Abyss a much-needed confidence boost. This is slightly more acceptable, but still doesn't excuse the use of such a Disney-esque storyline - especially for a promotion claiming to be a more mature WWE alternative.
