10 Worst TNA PPV Endings Ever

4. Bobby Roode Receives A Massive Push...And Loses - Bound For Glory 2011

In 2011, Bobby Roode was benefitting from the push of a lifetime. A loyal servant of TNA from the company's beginning, Roode was a good in-ring worker with great charisma, capable of getting over as either a face or heel. His ascendance during the Bound For Glory series to challenge champion Kurt Angle at the climactic PPV was well booked, leaving TNA with the easy decision of making Roode the victor. Instead, Hulk Hogan well and truly put his foot down. Rood and Angle reportedly only found out on the day of the show that the planned finish (a sensible Bobby victory) was not happening, and that Kurt was actually going to retain. He did so in nefarious fashion, rolling Roode up and grabbing a nearby rope for leverage, leaving Roode - and an entire arena full of fans - bitterly disappointed. It turned out that Hogan didn't think Bobby was ready, believing the future instead lay in the hands of "young stars" like Jeff Hardy (a man who had already held the WWE's World Heavyweight Championship multiple times in his career). To make matters worse, Angle almost immediately dropped the belt anyway - losing to Roode's partner James Storm on a throwaway episode of Impact. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tELf9gQw7hg
