10 Worst WrestleMania Moments Ever

9. Santina Wins A Women's Battle Royal

The 25-woman battle royal sounded like a pretty good idea at the time of WrestleMania XXV. The female competitors were being painfully overlooked in the company in that era, but featuring the best of the current roster and a few familiar faces from the past could have been a nice bonus to the show. But one man ruined it all.

As soon as the match was about to start at 'Mania, you could tell it wasn't going to be a very prestigious affair. The competitors didn’t even receive proper ring introductions, as Kid Rock stood in for every theme song. The match was rushed, and felt pretty disrespectful to everyone who was called up and asked to board a plane, get into their ring gear and compete in the match.

It was just bizarre to see Sunny come back to the company for the first time in years, only to be unceremoniously dumped out of the ring in 91 seconds. Former WWF Women's Champion Molly Holly also received pretty shabby treatment, as she made her first appearance after retiring, and didn't last four minutes. The entire match didn't even go eight!

The ending saw the embarrassingly unfunny Santina Marella (Santino pretending to be his own sister) toss Beth Phoenix out of the match. It was probably one of the company’s more ridiculous sexist moments. All of the talented, athletic women who were involved couldn’t stand up to the lowliest midcarder in drag.

It's amazing how far the women's division has gone in the span of eight years, and thankfully it will never again sink to the level it was at WrestleMania 25.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
