10 Worst Wrestling Gimmick Matches Of All Time

1. TNA Blindfold Cage Match

One of the main points behind putting on a gimmick match is to make it more exciting, give the wrestlers an opportunity to do things that they normally would never get a chance to. TNA have a bad habit of creating gimmick matches which reduce the senses a wrestler can draw upon and actually limit their physical ability which makes for a more boring match. No better example than that comes in the Blindfold Cage Match between James Storm and Chris Harris, formally America€™s Most Wanted. A cage and a blindfold should never be combined. This was possibly the slowest and most drawn out blindfold match of all time, especially tragic as both men had incredible chemistry and could tear the house down. The ending came when Storm removed his blindfold to superkick Harris, which the referre didn€™t see because a misplaced sharpshooter from Harris had€also blinded him? Anyway it was one of the worst matches, blindfolded or not, in history and something both men will be relieved they were unable to see for themselves.
