10 Worst Wrestling Matches Of 2023 (According To The Internet)

8. Bully Ray Vs. PCO (IMPACT Wrestling Victory Road 2023)

Baron Corbin Gable Steveson
IMPACT Wrestling

Cagematch Rating: 3.00/10.

Bully Ray was a worthy IMPACT World Title adversary for Josh Alexander in 2023's first act, showing through their impressively bitter rivalry that at 52, he can still be an effective heel agitator and plunder brawler. But while the comparatively youthful Alexander (36) should be considered amongst the world's best, Bully has struggled against wrestlers in his own age bracket.

This Anything Goes match with PCO is a prime example. It wasn't until late on that it fell to pieces, but it did so spectacularly, with several loudly called spots coming through the microphones.

An impatient Bully took a table bump at one point, screaming for PCO to cover him, then willingly paused to help his chaotic opponent set up a table (for Bully to be put through!) when it wouldn't break the first time around. The usual "my balls!" gag felt unintentionally slapstick within this mess - and the winning pinfall came from an Irish Whip through a table set up in the corner. Not exactly what you expect from two wrestlers who've made careers out of wild brawls.
