Long before Kane was introduced in late-1997, Glenn Jacobs had to put up with a hell of a lot of nonsense. It seemed that WWF officials desperately wanted him on TV, but they just didn't have any good ideas for the towering big man, which is exactly why he was handed the dubious honour of being Jerry 'The King' Lawler's on-screen dentist.

Known as Isaac Yankem D.D.S, Jacobs was brought in as part of Lawler's ongoing - not to mention lengthy - feud with Bret Hart, and he'd actually end up facing the Canadian at SummerSlam '95 in a pretty decent encounter. It was clear that Jacobs could wrestle, but the character he was being asked to play didn't have any longevity.

Later, the man would be brought back to play the 'Fake' Diesel, pretending to be Kevin Nash. Oddly enough, even that seemed better than being called Isaac Yankem, which is one name that really sums up where Vince McMahon's company was at the time, cartoon land.
