10 Worst WWE Debuts Of The Decade (So Far)
3. Emmalina
After what seemed like an eternity of vignettes plugging the reemergence of Emma under the new guise of Emmalina, the makeover was an intriguing curiosity for fans of the Aussie bombshell. The longer it was delayed, the more inquisitive people got and, after 17 weeks of hype, Emmalina finally appeared on Raw on 13 February 2017.
With a sultry saunter and a movie star look, the new character was supposed to be a throwback presentation to the successful divas of the past, such as Sable, relying on sex appeal as the foundation of the overall gimmick. However, plans allegedly changed after failed rehearsals led WWE to believe Emma wasn't committed enough to pull off the persona convincingly.
As such, the transformation of Emma to Emmalina finally came to fruition for all of 60 seconds, before WWE's newest diva announced she was "transforming" back to Emma. All in all, a pretty spectacular waste of 17 weeks worth of hype and promotion.
Nevertheless, after reverting back to her previous persona two months later, Emma has since gone on to become an increasingly prolific part of Raw's Women's Division, even challenging for the Women's Championship at No Mercy.
