10 Worst WWE Debuts Of The Decade (So Far)
4. Sin Cara
Making his highly anticipated debut after weeks of hype and promotion, Sin Cara made his first appearance on Raw by confronting US Champion, Sheamus.
Billed as an "international sensation", expectation was high. Sadly, so was the top rope and the Mexican luchador stumbled over it during his entrance. The unfortunate slip up took away from what would have otherwise been a pretty cool arrival in WWE.
The slip up was the first of many botches for the former Mistico and Cara would barely make it over the ropes again the following week during his first official match. While the bumpy ring entrance could be overlooked, his literal fall from grace minutes later could not.
Squaring off with Primo Colon, the newcomer made a huge blunder when he botched the planned finish. In an attempted Spanish Fly (back flip uranage suplex off the top), Cara fell off the top turnbuckle during the execution, unceremoniously landing on the outside. Worse still, Cara totally no sold the effects of the fall, bringing even more attention to the botch.
The disastrous start to his WWE career proved to be a sign of things to come and the slip ups continued until his inevitable release. The Sin Cara character lives on today with Hunico under the hood full-time since 2014.
