Its not a good look when the main event of Wrestlemania is completely overshadowed by poor fan support, but its happened two years in a row when the writing team made the wrong choice for the Royal Rumble winner. In both instances, the fan backlash was bad enough where the main event was changed to a Triple Threat Match. In 2014, it was announced ahead of time. This year, it was a bit cleverer, with Seth Rollins cashing in Money in the Bank mid-match and winning the title. But both times, neither the incumbent champion nor the Rumble winner left Wrestlemania with the belt. This bad feud was made even worse by Paul Heyman digging deep into his soul and lying to fans about wanting to take Roman Reigns in 2015 over any other superstar in any other era (with the exception of Brock Lesnar). He said hed rather have Roman than Austin in 1998, or Hogan in 1983. They were absolutely ridiculous claims that Heyman himself probably couldnt believe he was being forced to say.
