2. Rusev (With Summer Rae) vs. Dolph Ziggler (With Lana)

For more than a year, Rusev was an undefeated killer. He was built as an unstoppable machine that was bolstered by a Bridgette Nielsen-lookalike in his corner, reminding everybody of Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. After losing the United States title to John Cena at Wrestlemania (and subsequent rematches), Rusev constantly berated Lana, who left him to a big response from the crowd. What happened after that damaged everybody involved. Lana ended up with Dolph Ziggler, who said that he knew that Lana was just using him as a rebound, but was cool with that. Rusev, who originally was a silent killer, was turned into a love-sick puppy, and brought in Summer Rae (the gimmick killer) to be the new Lana. The whole storyline got muddled up by Summer seducing Ziggler, Lana re-joining Rusev after their real-life engagement was spoiled by TMZ, and Summer joining up with Tyler Breeze (sorry, Tyler). Nobody was elevated, Rusev€™s reputation was ruined, Lana ended up right back where she started, and Ziggler is further down the card than he€™s ever been. It€™s a lose-lose-lose proposition.
