10 Worst WWE Gimmicks Of 2016

1. Dr. Gallows & Dr. Anderson

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have fallen victim to some terrible writing since defecting from NJPW. They soon faded from a strong debut, and when the 2016 Draft split AJ Styles from his former Bullet Club brothers, things took a sharp left turn for Gallows & Anderson.

They crotched Big E on the ring post during their feud with The New Day, and that provided their direction for the next few months. Gallows & Anderson took to carrying one of Big E’s testicles around in a jar, and not a Raw would pass without them cutting a crude Attitude Era-style promo on balls, balls, and more balls.

The Good Doctors eventually overcame their infatuation with The New Day’s nether regions, and turned their focus to retirement plans. Operating under the name O.L.D.F.A.R.T (get it… “old fart?!”), they put The Dudley Boyz through a table on their last night with the company, then turned their attention back towards The New Day.

Then came “The Old Day” and, well… the are no words that do this segment justice.

Gallows & Anderson have been painful to watch this year. Their comedy act has Vince McMahon’s fingerprints all over it, and while he’s likely killing himself with laughter backstage, nobody else is laughing. Their run as Raw’s resident tag team jesters is far and away the worst thing to happen on WWE television this year.
