7. "The Opposite Of Good" Bludgeon Brothers

How do you solve a problem like Luke Harper and Erick Rowan? Just throw them in any old bloody tag team.

WWE almost messed up the most rhetorical question in its recent history.

We first bore witness to the Bludgeon Brothers in a pre-filmed vignette, in which their backs were turned to the audience. They almost bumped into each other turning around, which was the first of several troubling omens. The second was the gigantic toy mallets draped over their shoulders. The third was the Ascension-level lexicon. Severed spines! Annihilation! Moral decay! Suffering! Misery! Anguish! Pain! Thesauruses!

No cage could contain them. What were they: Alex Riley?

The fourth was the setting of the next crop of vignettes; they were filmed in the woods, as if this was all B-roll footage from the Wyatt Family vids of 2013. It was opposite day in dem old woods; down was up, up was down. Dark was light, light was dark. They weren't over; they were filed under "laughable".

The Brothers Bludgeon have translated well enough to television thus far - probably because it's hard to botch a powerhouse tag act featuring a talent as well-received as Harper - but they didn't half try.
