10 Worst WWE Gimmicks Of 2018

3. Lucha House Party: Mexicools Lite

What's the difference between the Lucha House Party and the Mexicools, who are still widely regarded as one of the most problematic (and borderline racist) gimmicks in WWE history?

One group carried pinatas to the ring, the other rode lawnmowers. That's literally it.

More people should be calling WWE out for this bullsh*t. Kalisto, Lince, Dorado, and especially Gran Metalik are talented, exciting wrestlers. Each is dazzling at their best, and they've more than earned their current role as regular Raw cast members. It's sad, then, that their promotion has coincided with their gimmick changing from 'fun, mask-wearing lucha babyfaces' to 'massive stereotypes.'

The pinatas stink. The overtly heelish 'Lucha House Rules,' in which the 'babyface' trio routinely cheat to beat The Revival, stinks. Everything about the act (aside from their wrestling) stinks.

But such is life when you're a luchador under Vince McMahon's employ. If he wanted to try and get these guys over, the best option would've been to let them do so on the strength of their ring work, because this goofy b*llocks clearly isn't doing its intended job. Here's the 'reaction' they got on the 3 December episode of Raw.
