Much like the previous entry, this match was in a difficult spot before it even began. Why? Well, because no one actually wanted to see it.

Firstly Rollins had already been beaten by Corbin at the Super Showdown event in Saudi Arabia, albeit after some nonsense involving the referee. Secondly, and more importantly, hardly anyone was invested in the feud. Corbin was a lacklustre choice of challenger for Seth after conquering the Beast at WrestleMania and then overcoming AJ Styles at Money in the Bank.

If the build-up was bad, the match itself was simply garbage. The stipulation allowed Corbin to name a special guest referee and he chose Lacey Evans. The reason being she had been feuding with Becky Lynch and WWE were obsessed with letting us know Seth and Becky share a bed.

The entire contest centred round Evans screwing Rollins over and did little to allow the competitors to shine. It was also leading to an inevitable run-in by Lynch. By the time The Man did even the odds and Seth won, people were more relieved it was over then at the babyface winning.
