10 Worst WWE Matches Ever (According To The Internet)

7. Alexa Bliss Vs Bayley (Extreme Rules 2017)

Alexa Bliss and Bayley featuring amongst some of the absolute disasters on this list might scan as grossly unfair, but what appears to have happened here is similar to how WWE itself managed the entire wretched storyline back in 2017.

A beyond-bad "Bayley: This Is Your Life" Raw segment hosted by Bliss was so hideous (and hideously received) that on the following week's episode, on-screen authority figure Kurt Angle was scripted to chastise on-screen perpetrator Alexa by an off-screen architect of all this sh*t Vince McMahon. That's sort of what's happened here.

The chemistry had always been decent between the two dating back to an excellent NXT television match in 2015, but the "Kendo Stick On A Pole" stipulation existed to try and bring out the anger in a Bayley character McMahon was destined to despise. She grabbed the weapon, couldn't use it and was quickly and easily despatched by a Raw Women's Champion that had taken her title in a similarly easy fashion.

A very, very bad time for the gimmick more than a very, very bad match, this was the contest most indicative of the core issues at the dark heart of WWE.
