10 Worst WWE Matches Ever (According To The Internet)

4. Braun Strowman Vs Tyson Fury (Crown Jewel 2019)

An awful exhibition of what can just happen now thanks to the absurd money flowing through the industry, Tyson Fury Vs Braun Strowman was just artless trash fought for sacks of cash.

The World Champion boxer towered over that many performers that 'The Monster Among Men' was one of the only logical opponents, but a nothing-happening encounter at Crown Jewel 2019 would have been the worst match of the year had another abomination occurred in the country earlier that year. More on that momentarily.

Weirdly, for a match that had wisely been promoted as a prize fight, the whole thing had an even more pantomime quality than a standard wrestling match. The babyface/heel dynamic was never well fleshed out considering the typical stakes of a celebrity encounter, and Braun getting any type of rub/reward looked redundant in the build, let alone the match. Bam Bam Bigelow/Lawrence Taylor this wasn’t.

After several perplexingly uneventful minutes, boxer Fury landed a knockout blow, but worker Braun was counted out instead of pinned. Then with the decision rendered, he hit his running powerslam finish after the bell. Boring uncommitted parity, like everything else about the feud.

Luckily (?) for them, Brock Lesnar and Cain Valesquez had an equally p*ss poor match on the same show, and the whole crew were stuck in the country while Vince McMahon allegedly squabbled with the paymasters over money, so little gets said about this experiment five years later. Luckily for us, the internet never forgets.
