10 Worst WWE Matches Ever (According To The Internet)

3. The Undertaker Vs Goldberg (Super ShowDown 2019)

A triumphantly terrible encounter for those that might not be the biggest fans of both men and anybody that abhors WWE’s ongoing deal with the Saudi Arabia Sports Authority, the main event of Super ShowDown 2019 was a sobering and legacy-tarnishing display from men thought big enough stars to get away with the basics.

”Get away with” and “basics” might not seem like terms tied to a match befitting of such a monster payday for the company, but the first few Saudi Arabia shows in particular were just that - big (old) stars for the people paying the tab, required to go through the hits or a rough approximation of them.

This was simply a rough approximation of a wrestling match.

A sweltering Goldberg cracked his head open early, resulting in a dangerous display that nearly turned Undertaker’s ‘Deadman’ gimmick from work to shoot when a Jackhammer went badly wrong and folded him in half like one of those snakes him and Big Show used to murder in the desert.

As their iconic status slipped further and further from view, so too did the match. Undertaker wrapped the godawful botchfest up with a chokeslam, and even that was more about them getting the hell out of the ring in one piece rather than sending the fans home happy. That was lost in the first few minutes, and ‘Taker’s furious face told a better story after the fall than anything that had happened bell-to-bell.
