For over two decades in the United Kingdom, a programme called 'Through The Keyhole' gave viewers the opportunity to snoop around the homes of numerous celebrities under the guise of light entertainment spectacle. Given a guided tour by offbeat journalist-come-cooking sauce aficionado Lloyd Grossman, panellists would have to use the book, music, art and décor selections to determine the identity of the mystery well-known homeowner. The audience, clued in on the surprise, would patronisingly clap and cheer when guessing guests dropped descriptions that fit the person.

Predictably, the rooms permitted for investigation were almost always immaculately kept, god forbid the nation realise that a faded comic presenter might just enjoy eating snacks in his pants from time to time. And anyway, the tidiness leant itself to the veneer of the programme at large. Simple, organised, good clean fun. Basically the exact opposite of this match, then.

Had the House Of Horrors appeared on the show, the guests may have actually steered towards Bray Wyatt rather early. Let's take a look at the evidence:

- The grim kitchen housed food that was stale, and out-of-date. (Applause)

- The living room was, like Wyatt's career, a complete and utter mess. (Applause)

- Pinholes of light couldn't penetrate the abject darkness, acutely measuring Bray's main roster days. The apparent magic afoot at the cottage made no sense. (Applause)

- For something allegedly so terrifying, it was frankly, f*cking boring. (Applause)

Yes, the House Of Horrors actually quite reasonably represented the 'Eater Of Worlds' in 2017. A more appropriate collaboration of stipulation and character? You'll struggle to find better than what you saw through that keyhole.
