The worst match of the night on one of the company's best shows of the year, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman's Hell In A Cell headliner reflected the dim and grim futures of two potential stars broken by Brock Lesnar's brutal Universal Title dominance. His disruption of the dire clash - to earn megabucks in a Saudi Arabian rematch - was a rather fitting conclusion.

Before both failing - repeatedly - to wrestle the prize from 'The Conqueror', 'The Big Dog' and 'The Monster Among Men' were known for their hard-hitting stunt-filled main events. These neutered and altered beasts had lost their fans, their fire and their mojo to such a degree that the cartoonish red cell looked more intimidating to guest referee Mick Foley than anything they threw at each other during the laboured 24-minute clash.

It was one thing for Roman Reigns to be 'The Guy' according to Vince McMahon, but it was quite another for the fans to have their Guy taken away in yet another flawed effort to facilitate it. Strowman's heel turn has already been chalked from history, but - like all tragedies in the past - won't be forgotten by those that lived through it.
