10 Worst WWE Matches Of 2020

9. The Fiend Vs. Goldberg - Super Show-Down

You had one job, Bill.

One job.

Almost literally: the guy does two moves, and that's fine, when those moves are explosive death snaps put over by his unreal intensity and megastar aura. But Goldberg is an older man in 2020, and he looks like he climbs several flights of stairs instead of smashing his head against a locker as part of his new psych-up routine.

The Fiend is indestructible. That's his whole thing. That's why his other matches are bereft of drama; there is no puzzle to solve, no vulnerability to exploit. You can't drain his tank, you can't use pure resolve to put him away.

Ramblin' Rabbit alluded to the Fiend's weakness on January 10. What a sentence that doesn't make you want to grow up and reassess your life that is. Bray Wyatt killed him off before the reveal.

Turns out the secret is this: "Dude! Dude! You just need to have worked for WCW 20 years ago, and drop the Fiend with a Jackhammer that looks like sh*t, dude!"

Spear. Spear. Mandible. Spear. Spear. Jackhammer. F*ck you lol.

On the plus side, the Fiend mask renders any potential job face invisible, which cast doubt over the outcome here. But it was a part-time star from the past taking on a full-time performer WWE had built for almost a year, so really, the outcome wasn't in doubt.
